Whether you are looking to build your cardio, strength, flexibility, or endurance, our drop-in water fitness classes are sure to provide a low-impact and fun avenue for fitness. Pick the class or classes that work best in your schedule. See the descriptions below to help you choose the best class for your fitness level and preferences. Deep Aqua Fit: Improve your strength, endurance, and flexibility with this overall body workout, geared toward an intermediate level.

Cardio Splash: A high energy class that will give you an overall moderate level cardio and strength workout, while helping to improve balance and coordination. Join us for a one of a kind workout in the shallow end that’s so fun, you won’t know the time is passing! For all levels.

YMCA Arthritis ClassAquatic exercise can benefit people with arthritis and other similar conditions, such as fibromyalgia and osteoporosis. Aquatic exercise offers a low-impact environment to keep joints flexible, muscles strong and help reduce the pain associated with arthritis. This class is also for anyone who wants to exercise gently in an aquatic environment. The soothing buoyancy and hydrostatic pressure of water make this program ideal for relieving pain, stiffness and fatigue. The water provides gentle resistance to build muscle strength and support joints to encourage free movement.

 

Water Fitness No Show Policy: If an individual fails to show up to 2 classes for which they had signed up for (without notifying the front desk) in a timespan of 4 weeks, they will be asked to refrain from signing up for Water Fitness classes for the next 4 weeks. If you sign up for a class only to later realize you will not be able to make it, please notify the front desk at the Y so that we may contact those on the Wait List.
