“I am a Northern Michigan native and was raised just 30 minutes north of Cadillac in the Fife Lake area. I currently teach special education for CAPS at Mackinaw Trail Middle School. I spend my free time coaching volleyball, track, and hanging with family and friends. Inclusion is one of the most important values in my life. I have volunteered in many different sporting events/camps for the Special Olympics and I knew from a young age that my calling would be in teaching and coaching because I always want to better myself and others around me. My partner Joel and I are proud to represent what a world of inclusion looks like. I do not have a background in dancing but I am very excited to support the YMCA so we can continue to have the amazing programs and services they provide to our community!”
