Meet Derek – Dancing Dad Extraordinaire!

Derek is a proud Cadillac native, husband to his amazing wife Tricia for 18 years, and a dedicated dad to five energetic kids. His family is deeply rooted in the Cadillac community, with his children actively involved in a variety of local sports—and two of them even working at the YMCA!

When he’s not cheering from the sidelines or supporting his kids’ passions, Derek is all about health and fitness. He co-owns a small but mighty CrossFit gym right here in Cadillac, where he’s known for his strength, stamina, and community spirit. While dancing might be a new arena, Derek is hoping his CrossFit skills give him the edge on the dance floor. He’s ready to lift, leap, and lunge his way to the top!
