Carlie is a Michigan native and graduate of Alma College (Go Scots!) where she met her soulmate, Charlie, while they made music in the Percussion Ensemble and Kiltie Marching Band. They married on the Rockwell Farm in Tustin and lived in Dallas, TX for 11 years. The desire to raise their children back in Cadillac where her husband grew up led them to move back in 2020. She is thrilled that her two boys can grow up here! Besides teaching 8th ELA at MTMS, Carlie also enjoys road trips, camping, roller coasters, reading, creating, and making silly TikTok dance videos with her family.
