YMCA Swim Lessons

Ages 6 month- 36 months

 

 

Parents accompany their children through our infant&toddler classes. Children will be introduced through exploration and play to the aquatic environment. Children will explore swimming, floating, breath control & blowing bubbles while parents learn techniques, aquatic safety, and meet other families.

Ages 3 years – 5 years

 

 

Preschool swim lessons provide a fun and safe environment for children to build their aquatic comfort and skills. In stages 1-3 children will learn personal water safety skills, basic swimming competency through benchmark water safety skills, and build confidence as well as physical stamina. In stage 4, children will learn stroke techniques as they continue to build a strong and safe swimming foundation.

Ages 6 years +

 

Youth swim lessons are taught in a supportive and engaging environment that allows students to have fun while learning new skills. In stages 1 through 3, students learn personal water safety and achieve basic swim competency to build a strong foundation for lifelong healthy and safe swim skills. In stages 4 through 6, students build their stroke technique and endurance to develop strong swimming skills that build confidence, cultivate their swimming passion, and develop a healthy and fun lifelong physical activity.
