Operation Road Block

What is Operation Road Block?

The best “Amazing Race style” Cycle-a-thon event ever! Teams of 5 will pool their miles ridden on a stationary bike to reach a total distance of 50 miles. Each team member will cover different distances according to their ability. But it’s not about the riding, it’s about the fun of the roadblocks encountered after every 10 miles traveled by the team. Road Blocks will be “Amazing Race” style challenges including music, trivia, memory, coordination games etc. When a challenge is completed, the team rides again. The team will have one hour to complete the event. The event will be hosted at YMCA Annual Sponsor sites throughout our community. The winning team will be determined by total points achieved. No participation medals for this event, you have to win to get the glory! But you can have the fun and excitement just by entering! Check out the participant registration form for more details on how to earn points and sign up Click Here.

How Can I help?

  1. Form a team and challenge your friends to participate.
  2. Support a team by making a pledge.

The support raised from this event will help youth, families, and seniors achieve the healthy living and youth development they need through the programs and Teen Center at our YMCA.

Completed registration forms must be submitted no later than one week prior to your event date in order to secure your team bikes and t-shirts. $25 initial donation is required to reserve your team’s bikes and time slot. Please contact Dan or Kurt at the Cadillac Area YMCA.

A Special Thank You

We want to offer a special thank you to our Annual Sponsors who have made this event and so much more of what we do possible. Their meaningful commitment to our community through our YMCA this year will help us provide over 18,000 healthy meals to youth, affordable access to over 250 families, and a robust Teen Center that will host over 800 different area youth throughout the year.
We also want to thank you for helping our YMCA and our Sponsors achieve this impact this year.
