Basket Weaving

Get started with the wonderful art of basket weaving!  Instructor Andrea Herman, guides participants in creating baskets of various shapes, sizes, & uses. You can register for each individual project workshop or the entire series. Tulip BasketSuggested tools to bring with you are: a towel, screw driver, & scissors.

Pottery (teens & adults)

Here’s a class you can get your hands into. Learn hand building including pinch, coil, and slab methods. Learn the art of throwing a pot on a potter’s wheel. Each participant will create both hand built and wheel generated objects. After bisque firing, you’ll learn the glazing process, using both under glazes and over glazes.

Beginning Bead Stringing (ages 13 – adult)

Design and make your own beaded necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Create just the right accessories through various stringing and basic wire wrapping techniques. This session is for those who want more instruction and learning while they create personalized pieces. Materials can be purchased from the instructor or on your own. Materials fee will range from $5 to $15 depending on project chosen. Classes held at McKinley Elementary School in instructor’s classroom.
